These are just some of the reasons you might need me. I’m sure there are plenty more. I’ll talk with you at no charge and find your winning story.
I’m Jim Mullay. I started my consulting firm, Mullay Ink, because I love to write winning business proposals and persuasive and compelling corporate communications material.
I started my professional career as a journalist, where I won awards for writing, editing and page design. Then I helped run the marketing and public relations department of a hospital as it grew into a $100 million healthcare system. I grew up in a grocery store. I ran that family business for a few years, too, more than doubling its size before I sold it. I worked in corporate communications for a major American university. I helped several Federal government agencies design and implement information technology systems that performed better and cost less than the ones they replaced to save taxpayers’ money. Most recently, I helped a small Federal consulting firm grow into a large one in 10 years by writing winning business proposals and training others to do the same.
Along the way, I also volunteered my communications expertise and other skills to the American Legion, the United Methodist Church, and several boys’ and girls’ athletic associations.
I’ve done a lot of things, had a lot of success, and enjoyed every minute of it. I’ve learned a lot of things about how to win and lose; how to persuade and dissuade; how to succeed and fail; but mostly I’ve figured out how to tell stories. Call me with your project, and I’ll help you tell your story. That’s the best way to win new business.
